“Seize the Blockchain opportunity, meet the change” — — The World Blockchain Conference 2021
On July 24th, annual “The World Blockchain Conference 2021” was held in Hangzhou. More than 100 leading entrepreneurs and researchers in the blockchain industry from all over the world attended the Conference to focus on the open finance, NFT, innovation integration, security governance and other trending themes of industry development, which has an enormous influence in the field of blockchain.
As one of the representatives of the leading blockchain enterprises in Hangzhou, Wu Sijin, the founder and CEO of 33FUZAMEI was invited to attend a forum, cooperating with ZTO Express, Xi’an Blockchain Application Association and other companies. It focuses on the “blockchain opportunities in industrial revolution and enlightening the future development of the industry”.
In June this year, “Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Promotion of Blockchain Technology Application and Industrial Development” was issued. The opinions mentioned that requirements for scenarios including government services, preservation and traceability, and smart cities to improve public services.
In order to further grasp the opportunities of blockchain in industrial revolution and gain insights into new ideas for future industry development, 8BTC and Tencent News co-hosted this forum entitled “Blockchain Opportunities in Industrial Revolution” and Huang Zhekeng of ZTO Express, Wu Sijin, founder and CEO of 33FUZAMEI, Suhang of Suzhou High-speed Rail New City Digital Financial Industry Development Co., Ltd., E-House (China) Blockchain Technology Innovation Center Lin Dongcheng, Xi’an Blockchain Technology Application Association chairman Tan Min were invited to share their thoughts and observations. Liu Peng, senior editor of Tencent Finance, served as the moderator of the forum.
As the first forum of the entire 2021, The World Blockchain Conference 2021 naturally attracted the attention of broad audiences. At the beginning of the forum, the host asked the guests how they thought of the “Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Promotion of Blockchain Technology Application and Industrial Development” issued by the two ministries last month and what kind of opportunities do they have for the entrepreneurs?
“The policy document reminds us once again that we must do blockchain, just like the Internet, it doesn’t matter what the blockchain is, there’s an opportunity.” said Wu.
33FUZAMEI has made blockchain for home appliance giants for three years, and their finance, logistics and settlement have become very clear. As long as the identity, order, logistics and consumption is on the chain, efficiency will increase exponentially. Only the people on the chain know the huge difference.
Huang Zhekeng, from ZTO Express also agreed that the focus is on the combination of blockchain technology and industry from the spirit of the document.
“Taking the express logistics industry as an example, we focus on the combination of blockchain technology with supply chain and express logistics, such as the storage of certificates and personal credit files of couriers.” he said.
Su Hang, from Suzhou High-speed Railway New City Digital finance Industry Development Co., LTD said “Opinions” presents both opportunities and challenges for entrepreneurs. Policy support will make the blockchain industry an explosive growth. Only entrepreneurs make a good, competitive, widely recognized products in the situation, can they grasp the opportunity to achieve success.
Lin Dong from E-House (China) and Tan Min from the Xi’an Blockchain Technology Application Association agreed that, the proposal of the “Opinions” is a great affirmation of the blockchain industry. In the future, there will be great opportunities in the field of real estate, as well as the confirmation and storage of data. Tan also pointed out that the opinions also indicated the future direction of the blockchain industry, which must be aimed at empowering the real economy.
When it comes to the role of blockchain in the digital reform conference held in Zhejiang province in February this year, Wu Sijin said: “Hangzhou has leading experience and industrial advantages in the field of e-commerce. What blockchain now needs to solve is the problem that enterprises can’t sell their things.”
“Consumers can not identify fake goods. When an order is received, the authenticity of the goods can be traced through the token, which cannot be copied as long as the token circulation process is on the chain. This can effectively eliminate click farming, fake goods and consumer fraud. Blockchain can create a clean society, where the producers of goods, the logistics process and the consumers are all clear, and disputes can be solved immediately. People can focus on the innovation and collaborative production.” said Wu.
And when it comes to advancing socialist values, blockchain can be positively promoted at the government level, and governments at all levels are needed to play a huge role in this regard. “Our mainchain and parachain architecture has well solved the problem of enterprise data trust and privacy protection. Since enterprises can’t expose all of their data, and hashes are available to the public on the blockchain, all they have to do is to validate the data with the hash.”
Regarding the future development of the industry, Wu Sijin shows the optimism he has maintained from the beginning. He believes that:
Blockchain is a distributed, decentralized, shared and open source ecosystem, Only as it connects more areas will we be able to bring more productive and human resources by interacting and collaborating on the blockchain. At present, people do not feel the role of blockchain because there are few people using it. Just like once when people didn’t know the Internet, the role of the Internet was not felt, only after the Internet was created and everyone was connected, you found that you couldn’t live without it. I believe that in the next 5 to 10 years, if we are not on the blockchain, we will face the dilemma of having no business to do and no money to make, because the whole society is on the blockchain.
Wu Sijin and other participants’ speeches on the future of the blockchain drew thunderous applause from the audiences. After the forum, student representatives from Peking University and Tsinghua University, met face-to-face with Wu Sijin. Wu Sijin was optimistic about the future of blockchain in China, he shared his understanding of blockchain and entrepreneurial experiences in the past ten years as the first batch of blockchain leaders in China.
He also encouraged the student representatives to insist on their research in the field of blockchain technology, stick to independent innovation and contribution to the development of blockchain in China in the future.
