2021 Smart China Expo was held in Chongqing from August 23rd to 25th. General Secretary Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the forum. Xi mentioned that the booming emergence of new technologies, new forms of business and new platforms such as 5G, artificial intelligence, blockchain and smart cities, which have a profound impact on global scientific and technological innovation, industrial restructuring and economic and social development.
Municipal party committee, municipal government and the leaders of all districts paid great attention to this Smart China Expo. Two vice mayors Chen Jinshan and Xiong Xue, as well as leaders of Jiulongpo District and High-tech District, successively led teams to visit the exhibition site to learn about the emerging technologies and innovative products brought by various high-tech enterprises.
“2021 annual western science city key application scenario list” was released at the forum. The scene is closely related to the construction of major projects of science City construction, the development of key industries, and important frontiers of science and technology, including the scene of new mode of urban governance, the scene of new cross-border integration of industries, the scene of new experience of people’s livelihood services, and the scene of new application of future science.
In the exhibition hall, high-tech enterprises showed their expertise in the field of big data intelligence, including Ant Group, Tencent, Alibaba, Wechat, Huawei, IFLYTEK, China Construction Bank, Changan Automobile and other emerging technologies, which impressed the audience.
Deputy Mayor Xiong Xue had a detailed understanding of the development of emerging digital technologies such as blockchain and big data. When she saw the innovative achievements brought by FUZAMEI and IBM, Mayor Xiong Xue was delighted and said: “Network security and blockchain technology will play an important role in the construction of digital economy system and industrial transformation and development of Chongqing in the future. We should pay attention to the empowerment of technology to local industry and focus on independent innovation and research and development of core technologies.”
In the future, science and technology enterprises will make persistent efforts to accelerate the output of scientific research and innovation achievements and pay attention to the implementation of application scenarios.
